Where did you get that screen shot
There's nothing on their site, in fact it's extremely vague.
These sort of tease postings are really fricking annoying.
Most-importantly, + baby pandas!
Alex, what is "<xul:sprite>"? I have to admit that I have never heard of sprites so far when it comes to XUL (probably because I'm ignorant). Do you have pointers to more information? Thank you!
Pd : maybe he works for the venice project ....
ld : maybe something implemented by tvp.
You can make something like that with XULRunner? What have I been missing...
The screenshots are at: https://www.theveniceproject.com/screenshots/
If you want more though, sign up as a beta tester, or get one of the forthcoming invites, the rest of the info is only for them for now...
Shawn : by adding code.
> Alex, what is "<xul:sprite>"?
ld: As ludo says, something we implemented for the tvp user interface, and which we will be feeding back to Mozilla at some point.

Feeding back to Mozilla? That's great, I have no idea what a is, but it sounds really cool.
This looks like a open source, extensible, html hacker-friendly (due to XUL as the basis) HTPC front end.
If that is the case, I am not too worried about whatever plans they have for commercial integrations and so on. That core sounds very flexible for non-commercial, community development of a great HTPC program.
Are we talking about the Firefox equivalent to Windows MCE and TiVo ware etc?
Ok send me one of those forthcoming invites
Firefox is a commercial project
There business model is based on Google search ;)
