symmetic NATs

Hi,
I know that STUN capability is supported in Zap. STUN
will not work for symmetric NATs. Are there any other
methods supported in Zap to deal with SIP/NAT issues?
Thanks,
Madhuri

Zap needs TURN to work behind a symmetrical NAT, but even if TURN was
implemented, it would not really help because there is AFAIK no public
TURN server available.

Is ICE implemented in Zap?
The whitepaper on Zap says that the implementation of
ICE will be a part of Zap.

Thanks,
Madhuri

Not yet. The I-D is still not stable, so it will take some time for
Alex to finish the implementation.
Note that ICE will not help if you are behind a symmetrical NAT, as it
still need a public TURN server. TURN servers (at the difference of
STUN servers) forward the RTP/RTCP streams and someone have to pay for
the bandwidth, which is IMO the main reason why there is no public TURN
server today.
